Alan was born and raised in New Plymouth and started his working career in banking working for the National bank for many years. His roles included being a mobile mortgage manager and managing several branches for the bank. He was approached by one of New Zealand’s larger real estate companies to establish an in-house finance division where he built up a team of brokers. This was his introduction into real estate which led him to be employed by a private property company. He managed the sell down of several large- scale developments they completed with major success. Alan then took some time away from property to establish a riding pony stud in the Waikato, only to be drawn back into the property field, developing and transacting properties for himself.
