Alan was born and raised in New Plymouth and started his working career in banking working for the National bank for many years. His roles included being a mobile mortgage manager and managing several branches for the bank. He was approached by one of New Zealand’s larger real estate companies to establish an in-house finance division where he built up a team of brokers.
This was his introduction into real estate which led him to be employed by a private property company. He managed the sell down of several large- scale developments they completed with major success. Alan then took some time away from property to establish a riding pony stud in the Waikato, only to be drawn back into the property field, developing and transacting properties for himself.
With over 30 years of experience, he has expertise in all aspects of property sales and development. With a proven track record of exceeding targets and expectations, Alan has been involved in over $500m worth of real estate transactions and has consistently been our top performing commercial agent in New Zealand for several years. He also leads a very strong sales team in our Cambridge office.
Outside of real estate, Alan’s interests are his family, and he also owns a Riding Pony Stud in the Waikato. He is also a founding member and President of the NZ Show Horse Council, spending many hours of his time giving back to this sport and is heavily involved in the Cambridge community supporting many organisations with his time.
